Prof. Savona delivered a lecture on "Anti-Money Laundering" as part of the course in Political and Social Education "The Harmful Effects of Criminal Business on the Lawful Economy".

The event was organized by the University of Palermo, the Faculty of Law, and the Department of Judicial Law in collaboration with the Customs Service, the Interregional Command of South-Western Italy, and the International Movement for Justice and the Protection of Human Rights.

Prof. Savona spoke to the plenary session on "Some Critical Aspects of Video Surveillance Systems: the Sustainability of Measures and Practitioner Training" of "REPORT VIDEOGOV SUMMIT 2006".

An  event unique in its level and contents which, with the contribution of leading experts and valuable evidence concerning diverse sectors, focused on video surveillance systems, dealing with all their aspects, in particular normative ones. The discussion highlighted technological advances, costs, benefits and issues connected with the introduction of a public video surveillance system.
